Strawberry Peak and The Arroyo Seco Back Country is high-up in The San Gabriel Mountains north of Pasadena and Mt. Wilson. The area offers a variety of challenging mountain biking and hiking trails. It is a remote location and the trails have steep climbs and high quality single track descents. There are 3 suggested routes described in detail and marked in color on the map.
Try some of these suggested routes or just adventure on your own, using this map and the routes as a guide.

The following are extracts from the Strawberry Peak Map :-

Red Route – Strawberry Peak to Red Box and Switzers – Hard (18 miles, 4hrs bike/6hrs hike)
Looping around Strawberry Peak, the route is long, strenuous and technical. It should be only be attempted by the fittest.
Start at Switzers and climb back up to the Angeles Crest Highway….

Orange – Red Box to Switzers – Intermediate (9 miles return, 3hrs bike/5 hrs hike). This is an out-and-back route that can be started at either Red Box or Switzers. The description here starts at Red Box to allow a continuation of the red route described above….
