The countryside around Aviemore is perfect for both mountain biking and hiking. This area is part of the Cairngorms National Park and there is something for everyone. Situated in the heart of the Spey Valley in the Cairngorms National Park, Aviemore has excellent transport links including regular bus and train services from both central Scotland and Inverness.

The Badenoch Way & part of The Speyside Way

The following is an extract from Strathspey Map Pack:-

Map 1 covers the area from Aviemore to Loch Morlich and Glenmore and includes the picturesque Loch-an-Eilein.

Map 2 describes a terrific route into the Cairngorm Mountains at Gleann Einich and also covers Inshriach Forest and The Badenoch Way.

Map 3 moves further south to Glen Feshie and The Badenoch Way at Loch Insh.

Map 4 covers the area to the north and west of Aviemore including The Burma Road, Carrbridge and The Speyside Way to Boat of Garten.

Map 5 describes 3 one-way routes that can be joined together to form a long circular route around Nethy Bridge, Abernethy Forest and The Ryvoan Pass.
